My bias comes from a good place - I played the original Link to the Past on the SNES when I was 13 and didn't know how much I loved it at the time. Over the years, I played ALTTP several times over, on Game Boy Advance and emulators. But A Link Between Worlds is both a tribute to A Link to the Past and a reimagining of the original. It is a near-perfect game, getting rid of almost all the things in A Link to the Past that you didn't like but also adding a whole different story in a familiar world. If you have played and loved A Link to the Past, you will LOVE A Link Between Worlds. It's fast-paced but open, and it has great graphics and gameplay. There are new items, new puzzles, new characters, all in the familiar world of A Link to the Past. It's a fantastic reimagining, and out of all the Zelda titles, this may be there very best there is. A Link Between worlds is unexpectedly the best 2D Zelda. I like lttp but I feel like other zeldas do what it does better, it’s not my favorite that’s all. I loved links awakening, so it was hard to decide. But this is such a masterpiece. Narrative, gameplay, the rental system. I love how Ravio uses the rabbit reference from Lttp cleverly, it feels so natural. I like the idea of renting weapons, even if I just grind rupees and buy them anyway. The mechanics of the rentals, lorule, and painting link are some of the best in the series. A Link Between Worlds is a masterpiece, and the best game on the 3DS, highly recommend!!!

This is the most beautiful 3ds xl there is. With it's golden matte finish it shines with the triforce icon on top and bottom. The screens are large enough to really see everything and because it enlarges what you would see on a normal 3DS it magnifies the font and makes it easier to read for anyone making it easy for even those with problems with their sight to be able to see it better. It offers a 3D feature that can be adjusted by slider and turned off completely in settings for those who do not want the feature. The feature is not recommended for those under 7 years old. It offers multi player activites such as street pass. The user leaves the system in suspend mode by closing the system when they are in public. The other individuals who are also doing this in the vicinity of the original system will sync. This is safe because no information is exchanged other than how many times you have synced with the other person, the name that you gave your mii, the game you are playing and what your goal is. There is no real time interaction When the systems sync up it opens the possibility to play multiple games using the syncs that are accumulated. Including a puzzle piece collecting game, a dungeon game plus 3 more that can be purchased for a small amount of money that will also use the syncs. There is no better handheld system available than the 3DS. The 3DS XL just improves upon the regular 3DS by enlarging screen size, allowing room to hold the system even if hands are large, a larger SD card to hold download content and improved batter life. The information can be moved to an even larger SD card if the owner chooses. Now that I have switched to an XL I will never go back. Nintendo will always be the best and dear to my heart.Read full review

I bought this when it first came out a few years ago and had a itch for playing this again considering I just rushed through the game and didn't spend any time collecting extra heart containers and Maimai. Definitely one of my top games for the 3DS, especially since Zelda on the SNES was one of my favorite ones. Shipping was fast and the price was the lowest one around so I just had to have it, and you should too.

This is an amazing remake for new and old fans alike. It has an amazing, compelling story, interesting characters, and great mechanics, all the while putting a cool twist on the original. Link takes the stage again! All around a great buy for a great value.

This is pretty much a reboot of "A Link to the Past" but with a fun 3D twist. The story line is great for playing on the 2D vs 3D theme. The ALttP world rendered in 3D is a lot of fun to see. It something nostalgic and something new at the same time. The overworld and its characters will seem familiar, but the dungeons are something completely different. For a Zelda game, it's very non-linear. All the items you can get, you can essentially get at the same time. No more, I need this before I can get that. I found this a little off-putting, but to each his own. It shortens the amount of time you spend exploring only to find that you don't have the item necessary to move on to the next thing. This makes for a much faster-paced progression through the entire game. Pacing aside, I enjoyed the game. Hyrule's parallel universe Lorule and analogous characters make for an entertaining story, and the 2D-3D game-play makes for novel challenges.Read full review
I can see why it got game of the year, awesome game! Same map layout as A Link to the Past. Familiar old stomping grounds, but what new twist. Wow!

This thing is amazing, and the Legend of Zelda game is amazing as well. Love the color scheme and the triforce on the 3ds. The 3d is actually quite good, but it doesn't work for all games/scenes in games. For example, Legend of Zelda was all 3d, but Pokemon Y, only during battles you can switch into 3d, the overview world wouldn't work. What else can i say, if you want a handheld gaming thingy get the 3ds xl, the battery is insane, even if you play for a few hours nonstop, the battery is still at full! (no 3d) Also i recommend getting the Legend of Zelda and Pokemon x or y, they are a must-have, absolutely stunning games, and the 3ds is perfect for a gift or just something to keep you busy on your commute to school, work etc. Buy this, you will not be disappointed at all.
I have Acorina of Time, Majoras Mask, Triforce Heros, and Out of all these, my favorite game play style is this game. Link between Worlds reminds me of "Link to the Past" for Super Nintendo. Updated graphics in 3D, portable, and new story line!!!! I love, love, love this game!! I beat it, and it's not boring where I'm done playing it. I restart and play again. Just an all around great game. Cute characters you can't help but fall in love with. The puzzles to get the treasure chest challenges. The stradigies to get the keys to get to the bosses, to defeating them. So much fun!!!! If you want great playing style of the old genera, but with better graphics....this Zelda/ Link game is for you!! You won't be disappointed. A definite must have, and must keep.
