Barbra Streisand - One Voice Concert DVD
Excellent concert, I choose this DVD over the LaserDisc version because it was more flexible to play in many devices. I've never heard or read any reviews about this Concert. It was outstanding. You get a chance to see the many celebraties in their prime. Robin Williams opened the show, the late Mayor Tom Bradley attended, the late great Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, Henry Winkler and many others. And the concert, given it was in an open park like environment was exceptional. I am a fan of some of Barbra's hits but after viewing this concert I am a new and better fan. Barry Gibb helped make this purchase worth while. Both Barry and Barbra are great together. Her backup band was excellent. It is outstanding in 5.1 Dolby Digital. In 1986, Barbra invited 500 people to her Malibu home, for a fund raiser dinner at $5000.00 per plate. You will see people like Bette Midler, Whoopie Goldberg, Goldie Hawn, Chevy Chase, and Jane Fonda in the audience. The show is on her malibu estate, outside, and you will catch some glimpses of how beautiful her property is. Those attending are obviously her friends. When she comes out, you can see the connections in the way she waves and smiles. When she sings, you see Goldie tearing up at the delivery of the song "Send in the Clowns". The CD is a conglomeration of many of her well known hits. She sings them with great passion and puts meaning into every word she sings. So if you DONT want to buy this DVD for the scenery, if you DONT want to buy it for the harmony of her and Barry together, if you DONT want to buy it for all the other stars you'll see and you DONT want to buy it because she's the best female singer on the face of the earth, then buy it because you are a very charitable person, and it's the thing to do. Your mother will be proud of you, and so will I.

Arrived as described! Thank you..I love Barbra Streisand and I remember this concert back in the 80s with Emmaual Lewis (Webster) sitting on someones lap. I'm looking forward to watching it again now that I own the DVD.
