    Wells would be proud

    I first bought the 2-record album about 1980 & I’ve always wanted to see a movie of this version of The War of the Worlds. This version keeps all the best features of the original: Richard Burton’s voice, the large orchestra with the rock instruments, the funky sound effects and all the rest. I wish I’d had the chance to see it in person, but this is still great! Happily, even though I’m a Yank, my laptop is able to play a Region 2 or 4 DVD, so that went well.
