  • My favoritew CD

I used to rent this same cd from the library . I found this copy at a good price on ebay and couldn`t pass it up . It`s probably my most favorite cd I own . Some albums/ cd`s you usually like some of the music and some may be just ok but on this cd I like every single song on there. Mostly deal with riverboats and that lifestyle with a lot of banjo playing . Love it.

  • My oh my,How the times do fly- Great C/d

I love this version of a great hits collection of John Hartford's music. It is warm wonderful review of music made by John and friends 1976-1987. You can hear the love of the steamboats that he loved so dearly. and life on the river. John was a licensed River boat pilot. Yes it has the most popular "Gentle On My Mind" and In Tall Buildings and so may others that I just love. It is must have if you are a John Hartford fan.. Get it while you can Steam Powered Aereoplane is out of print again. You better get this while you still can..

  • Worth the listen

This John Hartford cd is well worth listening to. It is the John Hartford that everyone knows...from the steamboat days. I bought this cd for my husband who had the chance of a lifetime to meet John Hartford and is a huge fan. According to him, this is one of John's BEST cd's and he was very glad to receive it and add it to his otherwise massive cd collection.

  • Real folk music

Folk music is about a way of life and John Hartford writes what he lives. Besides, he wrote "Gentle on My Mind" with some great lyrics there. I'll be buying more.
