About this product

Product Information

The Ubertronix Strike Finder Pro II Camera Trigger dropped the intervalometer from the Pro and added the sound trigger from the Elite. Much like the other devices, this is an exceptional camera trigger that comes with three extraordinary capabilities that make it possible photograph things that would otherwise be extremely difficult to do. It comes with a laser trigger sensor, a sound trigger and Camera trigger (lightning or other high flash event). These sensors were selected based on specific feedback from other photographers looking for this capability. All you need is a DSLR camera and you're ready to go.The Trigger was designed to capture lightning strikes either day or night. It uses microcontroller-based technology along with an infrared sensor to capture the most stunning photographs with complete ease. The device mounts onto the camera hotshoe, so you can walk away and let it do all of the hard work. The Laser Trigger was designed to capture anything that breaks the beam from water droplets to people walking through it. Once the laser has been tripped, the device instantly sends a signal to the camera telling it to release the shutter. The shutter releases about 45-60 ms later, depending on the camera. The Sound Trigger allows you to do high speed photography. The sound trigger attachment plugs into the side of the Strike Finder with an 18 cable. When it senses a loud signal, the device sends a signal to your camera to release the shutter.

    Great easy to use Intervalometer.

I had the same manufacturer before but for a different camera that I later sold. I love the easy functionality, a bright and clear LCD display and the battery last for more than a year. Just a note for those who are upgrading from the simple wired remote to this Intervalometer. One thing is that this unit is almost twice as large as the Nikon mechanical single button remote.

  • Top critical review

"Made for it's intension. Lightweight with great features"

I used it to take pictures without camera shake. On a tripod starlight shots can go for a long time. I didn't know that I would get picture noise on star shots, even though I used low ISO settings. The noise reduction is equal to the timed exposure, so a 5 minute shot would take 5 more mins to reduce the noise. Shorter exposures like 30 secs don't really need the noise reduction feature turned on, thus saving the extra time to keep taking a picture. I added one shot, double exposed.

  • Great for owners of Canon remotes and Nikon bodies

This adapter makes it possible to use existing gear with a different brand camera, basically just adapting the plug and pinout of the cable. Of course, you must be careful to pick the correct option for your gear, as not all the cameras use the same type of connector. Once connected, you can just start shooting, the remote and camera work flawlessly together.

  • Reliable product

Easy to use and reliable; I just wish the cable were longer. Although my camera has wi-fi to connect to my phone, if I can I will use this remote because the Nikon app is finicky (it takes a little bit to connect, then it doesn't work if either the camera battery or the phone battery is too low, and it can be slow).

  • Eats batteries but solid

Unit is pretty tough and the backlit face helps greatly when working in the dark. The unit it mostly accurate but you have to pay attention as well. Once the batteries wear down it loses its mind and loses time. Intervals get wacky. And it does eat batteries. Good feature is as a remote shutter only it does even need to be turned on.

  • Remote shutter release

This works very well. I get 305 feet in an open area with the shutter release. I would’ve been happy with 250 feet. Between the transmitter and receiver they use 4 AAA Batteries. This unit works with RF. RF Does not require line of sight. That is what makes this unit a great value for the price. This wireless shutter release works so well that I bought a second one for another one of my other cameras. This unit is an exceptional value for the price. The fact that he uses AAA batteries means that you do not have to go looking for a special battery. I highly recommend this unit. I do not think that you will be disappointed should you decide to purchase this. At present I am using this with my Nikon cameras. Please be sure to order the right one for your camera. They offer several different connectors for different makes and models of cameras.I would give the product a five star rating.

  • Non focusing half press

It's built, priced, and quality of a Chinese product. I could not get it to focus with half press like advertisement stated. The item would show red focus ring glow inside camera , but not focus. It would take a picture but out of focus as well as continously firing off multiple frames all out of focus. If you want a remote trigger after you focus your camera then it works.

  • best for night photography

I would prefer this one over a wireless, especially due to the price. Love the hold button feature to take a long shutter at night. A must have in any basic photo kit.

  • Works with the Nikon D3100

I got this because I wanted to try out making stopmotion videos, and pressing on the shutter itself didn't really help. I also got this for taking shots at night/in lowlight as well. As the title says, it worked with my D3100, was a bit worried for a second. Nonetheless, it worked with the SLR. The product itself was shipped and was delivered very fast. It was also professionally packaged as well. I'll definitely recommend this to someone who wants to do lite to even professional photography. What are you waiting for? It's a real bang for the buck!

  • One fine shutter release!

Well made and durable, the price is very fair and the value is awesome. It helps reduce camera shake due to pressing the camera's shutter button. Great for getting fantastic still shots for descriptive photo's for displays or sales. Just a great bargain overall. Sure made a lackluster hobby photographer's pics look like a pro took them.
