    IT seems to be a good backup device.

    I purchased this drive because I wanted back up storage under my own control rather than on the web. I also prefer, for greater safety to have it disconnected, and isolated from my principal computer. This device seemed to offer larger capacity than my computer hard disk and a reasonable price. I have now also established that I can perform a complete back up in a reasonable time. I have not attempted a complete restore but I see no reason to suspect it will not work.
