    One of Ray Bradbury's best novels put to film.

    "By the pricking of my thumb, something wicked this way comes." Jason Robards portrays a town's librarian who as a young father was unable to save his son from drowning - his son's best friend's dad did. The 2 boys are inseparable and get drawn in by a rare Fall carnival run by Professor Dark, who ensnares prominent members of the town as well as the 2 boys. Can the librarian save his son, his son's best friend and the town from the sinister Professor Dark? Unlike horror films of today that are full of gore, 'Something Wicked this Way Comes' uses words and the viewer's own imagination to convey the horror.....with subtle messages about the evils of greed and vanity.

    Perfect Halloween kid (and adult kids) scary/creepy without the blood guts and gore.

    I could vaguely remember this movie from my childhood, yet I knew it was kid "scary" - after watching it, gave me a whole new appreciation for it. It is a great pairing with Watcher in the Woods too. Makes for a retro family night, topped off with the Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. (both separately purchased)
