Wrapped in plastic, then bubble wrap, then cushioned in a crushed heavy paper and shipped in a small box. Book is as described and even in better condition than I expected - exactly what I was looking for - also - at least to me - a GREAT value. Penrod is a hilarious book, although fairly dated (IE - some racism - like Samuel Clemens stuff).
