    Interesting but a little light on detail

    The book is in two parts. The first goes through various trips you can go on, and the rest covers bush tucker. I am most interested in the bush tucker side of things, and there are quite a lot of plants covered in alphabetical order, however each plant only has one photo and a few paragraphs of explanation. This is enough to know whether it's safe to eat or not, but I would have preferred a bit more detail - what the leaves, flowers and fruit look like, taste and nutrition info, and so on (the reason being I would like to choose some of these plants to grow myself.) Some of the descriptions do include some of this information, but many don't. But if all you're after is a summary of bush tucker then it covers a lot of plants and is certainly an interesting read.
