    Great solution for cable box workaround in one unit

    Works well. On Spectrum (formerly Time Warner) and all outlets on cable now require digital converter box. This worked well. Had to tell it it was a Time Warner remote (eyeTv tried 4 models of controller interface, found the right one). The box says Scientific Atlanta but it didn't respond to their command set. Once working, no issues. This version is better at encoding/decoding recordings on other computers in the house, delivering HD without jitter pretty well.

    Good Product.

    Pros: It is bus powered from the computer so it does not need a separate power source. Very easy setup. TV guide is not needed to receive tv signals. Cons: at 1080i it is limited to 30 fps.

    Great tool for capturing component video on your computer

    Unit arrived quickly and worked well. This is one of the few units which will allow one to capture component video data streams and store them on your computer. I use this with the EyeTV software, which was designed to work with this device and allows a limited degree of editing out parts of the captured video.The captured video can be exported as an MP4 file.

    Great product

    This item was so cheap ($20) and I worried but this worked no problem. This is our 4th unit of EyeTV HD and we love it. This is a precious way we can record HD programs to computer.
