But that’s on me, for not asking questions beforehand. I’m definitely not a mechanic. But even so, this backrest is well made and looks awesome

Look closely to the underside and you will see X's marked for where you need to drill the 4 holes. If you don't see them, look again, they are there. Very faint. Other than that easy as pie.
