Hopefully I can my review the right book this time

I did a review on what I thought was another book. I don't know if it went and I hope this correct review. Anyway this book was great to read and gave me a chance to read about the different species of Aliens, both good and hostile. I reccomend the book to anyone who has an interest in these types of books.

  • Top critical review

I had high hopes for this book, but it was a disappointment to me

I had high hopes for this book. I THOUGHT it would be a comprehensive listing and description of EXTRATERRESTRIALS that were fiction and were the subjects of many, many movies and TV shows. I looked forward to learning about the alien from "Alien" and "Aliens", the predator from "Predator", etc., KNOWING that all of these were not real and only "science fiction", which I do enjoy. That would have been worth the money. INSTEAD, the Extraterrestrials listed and described--each in detail--in this book were, it seems to me, extraterrestrials that the author had imagined or convinced himself of their existence by his own experiences OR those that he had manufactured or conjured up on his own. Their descriptions, as mentioned, were detailed, but I got the impression that the author believed that each of these beings were, in fact, REAL. . I myself enjoy a clever, entertaining and even scary movie or TV show about extraterrestrials/aliens, but I don't consider these to be REAL, nor do I believe that extraterrestrials, if they, in fact, ARE REAL and do exist somewhere "out there" in the universe (which is a distinct possibility or probability) have visited/do visit Earth or at least are known FOR REAL in all the various forms and species that the author presents. . So, for me at least, the book was a disappointment and not a good spend for my money. Maybe others whose belief systems are different from mine will enjoy or relate to this book, but MY own opinion of this book is less than favorable.
