Very happy. Why did I wait so long???
I'm not a tech newb, but sometimes these types of things are tricky. Not so with this system. I just followed the very precise instructions on the app and was able to get things up and running with no cussing or calls to customer service for help. I'm going to see if I can place one of the satellites just about 20 feet further away and still get good back-reception signal. If so, I'll be able to plug the wi-fi directly into the main TV that we use for streaming. So far, so good though. Great signal throughout our multi-level ranch and even now into the back yard where I can relax in the shade and still have full wi-fi signal. Game changer in my home.
I have to say coming from Netgear Nighthawk AX-1800 MK62, Base unit with 1 satellite unit this new setup was a game changer in our home. We only have a 1450 Sq. Ft. home but the old one did ok but would drop to many times while streaming a show and the satellite helped some back in the office but if I wanted to stream something in our bedroom 15 feet from the satellite it would work something then out. I read quite a bit and decided on this Orbi 763S series, 1 base with 2 Satellites units. I sat the base in the same place, 1 satellite in the office and 1 in the kitchen to see how it would work for me out on the rear deck of the house. Moving up to the Tri-Band AX-5400 has made the world of difference already. Haven't had dropouts as of yet when streaming shows on either TV in the house like the bedroom, just perfect streaming so far. Working great out on the deck with like 250MB download so no problem there playing games on the phone. And were running around 30 items though the new Orbi unit and right now I can't say enough, the size house how many thing connected I don't see a reason to go for the 860 series, or the big boy 960 I just don't have that much stuff to justify paying $1500. dollars when this one does the things I need done. It say it can support up to 75 connections, so I have plenty of room to add more things later. If you're like me and have a smaller home this would be the right choice as far as money goes. Very happy with the purchase though Ebay and saved a lot of money instead of buy from NetGear. Buy it you will like it and save money.
