The Lionel 2032 is a great affordable runner.
I love Lionel's postwar trains. This is a great running engine that is more affordable than the pricier F3 units. The diecast frame adds weight enhancing both traction power and durability. Some may prefer the more vivid paint schemes of the yellow or silver 2023 Union Pacific engines but I feel that the black and yellow paint scheme of the 2032 Erie gives it a powerful industrial look. This engine is also a great puller. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

They work so well
After a bit of cleaning and tinkering they run so well and quietly, surprisingly both engines have a motor, so that was fun. The engine with the E unit runs way better than the direct power engine for some reason but at least they work swell with a switch, it will be run to paint these one day and when I received them i didn't expect them to be so big.
