  • Essential tool for adjusting side pull caliper brakes.

Most brakes need this thinner wrench to properly adjust the play on side pull caliper brakes. This wrench is just the right thickness to fit and be strong enough to hold the adjusting nut while you tighten the lock nut. Park makes this wrench in 2 sizes and you will need both: CBW-1 8mm & 10mm CBW-4 9mm & 11mm Cone wrenches don't come in these smaller sizes. Standard wrenches are just too thick and who wants to grind down even a cheap wrench just to see it rust up pretty quick. The 4 way Park wrench (OBW-4) is another essential tool which is best for for centering calipers but is too thin too properly tighten the adjusting nut on side pull brakes. You will ruin the OBW-4 if you persist in using it for the wrong purposes.

  • Good Value, Tight Tolerances, Wish They Made a Boxed-Only Companion Version.

Well made, tight tolerances. These are so tight that you might need to take a file to them if the nuts/hubs you are working with are also dead-on. I prefer the material being there to remove than not. RC hardness is likely in the mid 50s so any decent file should work if you need to open them up a little - not so hard they chew up nut corners without you noticing you're not fully seated when you crank away absent-minded. Perfect carry and/or shop wrench for most bikes' brake and front derailleur adjustments.I'm a fan of Craftsman's mini wrench sets but carrying four of those (2x 8mm plus 2x 10mm) Vs. one of these and just 2 of the Craftsman wrenches, yeah, I'll choose 3 wrenches over 4 any day. Maybe I'll get a second of these and carry just the 2 Park wrenches. They're dead-on with the Craftsmans in thickness. I wish Park made a companion 8mm/10mm wrench with two boxed ends (for non-bike uses). Still, can't complain, it's a good value in today's world of ever more cheaply made tools. Good luck out there, everybody!

  • Must have for any Wrencher

Park Tool makes good quality, sensible bicycle tools - this wrench is one of them. I own 3 steel frame bikes from the 70s/80s - this tool is indespensible. I use this tool often for adjust brake cantilevers, bike mirror, etc. A++ - A must-have for any bicycle mechanic

  • Park CBW-i bicycle tool

These wrenches have been made by Park for many years, are excellent quality, and fit in the small tight spaces on bicycles, especially brakes and fenders. I obtained two of these to put in small repair kits for my cars.

  • park cbw-1

LIke most Park tools, gets the job done, needed a narrow 10mm open wrench for my bicycle rack and brakes, low torque, so I didn't need a "super" wrench. Fit well, nicely plated
