The machine pressure can be carefully monitored with a handy gauge that shows you when you are pulling perfection. This Breville machine offers technological features enabling you to achieve a quality shot. Many an aficionado knows that steam temperature is perhaps the most important variable determining the quality of your cup of Joe. The PID temperature control system in the Breville is a precision feedback mechanism used in advanced industrial processes to quickly and precisely control temperature. You won’t find this advanced feature in many other machines out there. The second most important variable is the amount of pressure applied to the grounds in the machine. The “puck” of grounds is typically unevenly distributed despite the best tamping of a good barista. Breville solves this problem with a pre-infusion to evenly distribute the grounds before applying the full force of its 15 Bar Italian pump.
