About this product

Product Information

Taito's colorful dinosaurs Bub and Bob return for more bubble-blowing battles in this compilation of 1986's Bubble Bobble and an enhanced Nintendo DS remake. For those unfamiliar with the arcade original, the action involves blowing bubbles to ensnare monsters lurking within 100 platform-filled stages. Once an enemy is trapped inside a bubble, it can be "popped" with the dinosaur's scaly head. The DS-specific version also features 100 levels, but with updated visuals and a scrolling play area spanning two screens. Other exclusive features include new power-ups and both microphone and touch-screen support for special challenges. Up to four players can compete in a separate wireless mode that involves capturing the most monsters.

  • Fun and challenging!

I'm giving this game 4 out of 5 stars because it's fun but it is also quite difficult to play with the exception of the retro part which is quite easy to play. The second version is a little more complex because it is the newer and has a twist to it. It's a little bit harder to explain but for kids it would be quite difficult. I'm nearly 49 years old and I have a difficult time to play the more updated version of this game. Anyways the whole objection of this game is you spit out bubbles and try to capture enemies before they attack and that's pretty much sums up the game. Sounds easy? In the beginning yes, but as you progress, the enemies become more fierce and are more difficult to capture. Oh,of course there is a boss to battle but only when you succeed in clearing the course parts. I don't really know how many bosses there are in total but I have not reached that point yet. Anyhow, overall it's Fun and challenging game, but I prefer the retro part because it's easier to play. While the modern version is more challenging.
