Item looked fine. I put in batteries and was disappointed

No mention that the Menu feature didn't work. Monkeying around with the machine I could get it to play CDs. This was to be a gift for a Grandson. I will go else where to find another.

    • Oldie but goodie

After wasting money on several units purchased on line (that failed), I said "Just get a Sony!" Glad I did! This unit (D-E200) is probably old school, but it's truly a workhorse! It's sturdy, lightweight, the buttons are dependable and easily accessible, and the sound is wonderful with Mega Bass. Love the ESP2...this unit NEVER skips, and I'm a fast walker! Battery life is pretty good too. All in all, I love this Sony!

    • A true classic

The ESP2 took the Sony Discman to a new level. Still a new concept of its time the 2nd gen. Pre-sampling means you can travel a country road and not skip a beat. I always trusted Sony as my music beat box since the 80's. And yes I still have my cassette walkman with Sony earbuds.

    • Good backup CD player. A little tinny sounding.

It’s a good CD player for $15-$20. Classic look. Gets ok sound. Starts to sound bad when the volume hits about 8. A little tinny sounding throughout.

    • Pretty good used product

Although I am mostly happy with this product, the stop button sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t and sometimes raises and lowers the volume even though that’s not what it supposed to do.
