Great collector's item with an all African-American cast of great talent!
Great film of all African-American cast taking place in the late l950's! Eartha Kitt and Sammy Davis Jr. are demonstrate their acting ability at a time when very few African-American actors were given an opportunity to bring their amazing talent to the big screen! A great collector's item.

Modern Tragedy
Complicated melodrama centered around a woman's hope for redemption and reunification with her family and the father bent on destroying her because he can't handle his own gilt for wanting her or the thought of her being with any other man. Inspiring performances by the central characters (Ertha Kitt is outstanding) with effective contributions by the supporting actors. Darkly tragic with some disturbing revelations but a good story; you just need to be in the right mood to watch it.
