Reviews
"The ever-resourceful and vengeful Reacher takes on nearly a score of the bad guys in an exciting climax to an enthralling book…complete with cover-ups and numerous intriguing twists."- Library Journal , starred review "A superb New York novel…. Child grounds his hero's hard body and hard-drive brain in believable detail, and he sets the action against a precisely described landscape." - Booklist , starred review "All good thriller writers know how to build suspense and keep the pages turning, but only better ones deliver tight plots as well, and only the best allow the reader to match wits with both the hero and the author. Bestseller Child does all of that in spades.... [He] sets things up subtly and ingeniously, then lets Reacher use both strength and guile to find his way to the exciting climax."- Publishers Weekly, starred review

Synopsis
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - "High-powered, intricately wrought suspense."--Janet Maslin, The New York Times "Hold on tight. . . . This novel will give you whiplash as you rabidly turn pages. . . . May be Lee Child's] best."-- USA Today New York City. Two in the morning. A subway car heading uptown. Jack Reacher, plus five other passengers. Four are okay. The fifth isn't. And if you think Reacher isn't going to get involved . . . then you don't know Jack. Susan Mark, the fifth passenger, had a big secret, and her plain little life was being watched in Washington, and California, and Afghanistan--by dozens of people with one thing in common: They're all lying to Reacher. A little. A lot. Or just enough to get him killed. A race has begun through the streets of Manhattan, a maze crowded with violent, skilled soldiers on all sides of a shadow war. For Jack Reacher, a man who trusts no one and likes it that way, the finish line comes when you finally get face-to-face and look your worst enemy in the eye. "Propulsive . . . Child is] an expert at ratcheting up tension."-- Los Angeles Times "A top-notch thriller."-- Booklist (starred review) "Edgy . . . thoroughly engrossing."-- The Miami Herald, #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER * Don't miss the hit streaming series Reacher ! Item arrived as stated in used but good condition. It was a great price for used. A new copy would have cost a lot more. It was shipped out fast and arrived in secure envelope. Seller did a great job with this entire transaction. I’m very happy with seller and would order from them again. Thank you seller, great job. A+. JL

There was a mixup during packaging where a paperback copy was picked and shipped for a hard cover copy that was ordered. I asked the seller about it and they honestly replied that the mistake was on their end. A full refund for the item was sent immediately and I will not hesitate to order more from ZBK. Very responsive and they stand behind their items and make good on any issues.

    Must Read Book!!

Can't seem to get enough of Jack Reacher and his ability to fall into situations that he must make right and bring bad guys to justice. Have read all 19 of Lee Child's books in order, including this one, and each one is full of plot twists and suprises as Jack goes about changing his clothes every 3 days or so to not have any luggage except for his tooth brush! He has time on his hands does a lot of walking, but while he does, he logically figures out what to do next to solve the current predicament. Thoroughly enjoyable keeper-book with a re-read in the future.

  • Title does not give up what's in the book. But it doesn't matter.

As usual, you get more than you bargained for. Jack Reacher is my favorite fictional book character. Lee Child always writes a book that you just cannot put down. I have all 22 of the Lee Child library, including the most resent, "Past Tense".
