Great small amplifier head!
A very long story, short, somewhat!!!...I previously purchased a Fender Pro Jr. Limited Edition Guitar Amplifier Cabinet with the western tolex. It even had a Eminence 10" Cannibus Rex 50 Watt Speaker in it that looked brand new. There was no amplifier that came with the amp cabinet. Just the cabinet, with speaker, and all accessories attached to the cabinet. So I looked around for small, lightweight, great sounding amp head with Treble, Mid-range, Bass, Reverb, Dual Channel, with volume and gain controls and I stumbled on this Valeton Guitar Amp Head. This one is Model No. TAR-20G, 20 Watts, w/a true tube sound in a solid state amplifier. I built this little amplifier into the back of the Fender Pro Jr. cabinet along with a frame for this amp to sit on while building around it to make it fit the amp like it came that way. I did that in less than a day and it turned out great! And let me tell you, this Valeton amplifier head sounds absolutely amazing in this Fender Pro Jr. cabinet. Believe it or not, this amplifier, housed in this Fender cabinet sounds 10 x better than any Fender Pro Jr. amplifier I've ever heard and I've owned many Pro Jr's over the years. I am just totally amazed at the great sound quality of this little amplifier, and even more amazed it how great it sounds in this Pro Jr. cabinet. Just a final note: I played this amp through a 2x12 cabinet, a 1x12, a 4x10, and a 4x12 cabinet, all with either Celestion, Avatar, or Eminence speakers, and this amplifier handled all those cabinets and speakers with ease! If you plan on gigging with this amp, even as loud as it will get, I don't think you could play it on stage unless the amplifier cabinet you are playing through is being run through a PA system. But you could do small gigs with it I'm confident. I know you will like this amplifier as I do. It is really that sweet!!! * Photos forthcoming!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unbelievable!!!
I gotta say, this thing sounds amazing!!! Juicy rich cleans, full but clear, especially the low end. Crunch/distortion is really good too, and the 3 band EQ is very well implemented. Haven't tried the FX loop yet (yes, I said FX loop!) or the headphone out, but the reverb sounds great too. All this for for under $100? Unbelievable!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
