Washed out of the Barrayaran MilitaryAcademy for being overly fragile (he had been biochemically damaged during anassassination attempt while still in his mother's womb), Miles's natural (ifunorthodox) leadership qualities quickly led to his off-handedly acquiring afleet of nineteen ships and three thousand troops, all unswervingly loyal tohimor at least to his alter ego, Admiral Naismith. In short order, he foiled aplot against his father, returned to and graduated from the academy, solved amurder among his people, joined a mutiny against a deranged superior officer,thwarted an interstellar invasion, and rescued the Barrayaran Emperor. Thenthings get interesting....     The seller listed a trilogy of books confirmed both by the ISBN provided and listing it as a pack as well as the weight etc of the trilogy. The seller sent me one single book and then offered me to buy the rest of the books. I paid ~$16 the books brand new for the trilogy is $23. To tell me they have the other books and suggest I pay extra is beyond insulting especially as that would surpass the brand new box set cost. The fact that they have the other 2 and wont send them is just outrageous.

    MILES STOLE MY HEART

    This Bujold series is inspiring, classic, funny. Young Miles is best read after 'Shards of Honor' and 'Barrayar'. These 2 novels give the back story on Miles' mother and father. The Miles universe is a jewel.
