This used laptop looks new. There were no scratches or visible wear. The battery lasts a good 2.45-3 hours depending on how many programs are open at one time. I installed a 250gb hard drive and then installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. It is super fast. The USB ports all work as does the SD card slot. The wireless works very well and can pick up even a weak wifi signal. The screen is clear with no scratches and provides an excellent picture. The mouse pad is very responsive with no scuffs or scratches. I bought 2 and they are both perfect. It is the perfect size for my Grandson to use at home or school.

Like the previous reviewer, I installed Ubuntu on a 2.5 inch hard drive I had laying around. The computer works very well running Linux, and the battery seems to hold a 3-4 hour charge at least. I did have an issue booting the computer upon receipt, but it took a short inspection and boot codes to figure out that the RAM stick was not seated correctly. After fixing that, everything worked just fine.

I don’t know how you guys are making money on this, I paid $60 for what is basically a new machine! This thing is immaculate just as described, I was so pleasantly surprised to find it in such a condition I immediately bought another and it was well worth it. The hardware is nothing to get hyped up about although it is a relatively newer platform, and the ram and processor can be upgraded quite easily. It is just as the description says, lacking a hdd caddy, but for a couple of bucks you can find one listed for the many models this caddy fits. For reference, I did just that and popped an old intel ssd in there and it runs beautifully. There is no webcam, optical drive, or fingerprint reader like there is on the 6360b. This is the stripped-down, thin client version of that machine and quite frankly if used for what I am going to use it for, which is mainly light office work and web browsing, you don’t need any of that extra fluff. I certainly don’t need a fingerprint reader and optical drive, it would’ve been nice to have a webcam but I could just find one listed for cheap and shove it in where a plastic cover is covering the usual hole currently(see picture). Fortunately, as per the specs posted by hp, it does have a microphone. So voice commands or dication will work fairly well. And for those worried about how the Celeron b810 will perform, well it performs. I currently have a fresh install of windows 10 and I’d be hard pressed to notice it chugging away too hardly. For web browsing I can’t tell the difference between that and a much more powerful chip. It will start to show signs of it working hard when doing some multitasking, but it is negligible and for the most part extremely tolerable. If you really have a problem with it you can upgrade it to a more powerful sandy bridge, or even an ivy bridge since it is socket g2. I haven’t done it myself, but if I was a betting man I’m 99.9% sure that it would take it without a hitch. The battery is pretty much new as well, it keeps a charge for hours. It appears to be the original much like the ac adapter, but it could be a genuine replacement, and both like the rest of the machine are pristine. If you need a laptop for light work, and need a relatively new machine for under 100, here is your solution.Read full review
