    SPEAKER SPIKE SET

    OFTEN A MANUFACTURE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT WILL SPOIL A GOOD PRODUCT BY CUTTING COSTS WHERE HE BELIEVES IT WONT MATTER. I REPLACED THE STOCK SPIKES ON A PAIR OF ATACAMA MOSECO SPEAKER STANDS,NOT BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY, BUT BECAUSE THE FINISH WAS BELOW PAR AND IN MY OPINION THE WRONG COLOUR. THE SUPPLIED SPIKES ARE OF A VERY HIGH QUALITY AND PERFECTLY FINISHED. WHAT IS MORE, THE WASHERS AND NUTS WERE NOT OVERLOOKED WHEN PUTTING THE SET TOGETHER. AS A MANUFACTURER, I BELIEVE EVERYTHING MATTERS WHEN IT COME TO PRODUCING A QUALITY PRODUCT.

    Thread Quality is Hit & Miss.

    I purchased these to replace the ones fitted to my Naim Allae Speakers which had been damaged (bent) by a previous owner. The first two spikes went in perfectly but the subsequent two would not go more than 2/3 into the speaker. In order to check if the thread was damaged I removed the two I had already put in and tried them in the new hole without any issues. All in all it looks like the quality of the threads on the screws is low so you might be lucky or you might not. I purchased two packets, one for each speaker and I have managed to get one speaker fully upgraded and the other one now has the best examples of the old spikes. They look great though and at the price I am not drastically disappointed.

    Good quality

    Nice fit and finish. Replaced a set of daft castors on some old speaker stands and now the bass goes into the room, not the carpet. Worth every penny and sent quickly. 5 stars all round!
