Dangerous item, but I like it
I purchased this item without having done enough research. I talked to my Harley Dealership about having them install this chrome pulley-wheel cover, and they strongly suggested not to use this. They told me that when they get a bike that has one installed, they immediately take it off again before reselling. This is because, in their experience, while they look cool, they vibrate loose, even when Loctite is put on the screws. The screws come out, mess up the swing-arm, or worse lock up the wheel, causing either thousands of dollars of damage, or a bad accident. That said, I just like the damn look of the thing, so I'm having them put it on anyway, with metal-on-metal epoxy on the back, and since I need to cultivate a better pre-ride bike-check anyway, I'm putting the corresponding-sized ... Really going to look good when I get it installed.
The parts appear to be good quality and well made. I haven't had time to install them or some of the other chrome stuff I have purchased. Already turned cold so riding and working on the bike has got put on the back burner for now.
