Works well in my HP elite 8300 USDT. Needs additional 180w or 230w Power Supply to work. Without it computer will not boot, just beeps. I got myself a 230w power supply and this system flies now with the added video and 16gb memory. You will not be disappointed in this card as it adds a great bump up it video quality to any system using a MXM laptop card with heat sink.

Not the easiest to install. Needs special narrow thread wide head screws that seem to be unique to just HP. Also requires a 180 watt external power supply or the system doesn't power up. If you install one and your computer just beeps, check your power supply. It will not power up on a 135 watt power supply. For drivers, just download the last AMD drivers and they work great. It not only has good video performance, it also works great with dual monitors.

I use this Graphic Card in a HP Compaq 8200 Elite Ultra-slim PC You can find the replacement procedure on HP web site. After replace it, you must press Reset BIOS button over the Mainboard a few seconds before plug the power cord. The Graphic Card overloaded the original Power Unit and I needed to change the AC Adapter with a 230 watts unit likes HP ... - 641514-001 BT-AG234EGF-H - 677765-003 ADP-230CB Good luck!

In all honesty, I bought this for the attached heat sink. As the PC I was working on had never had a discrete video card installed, I did test out the combination. Compared to the on board graphics of the Core i5-2500s, this card provided a nice little bump up in performance, and should have been installed on every 8200 Elite USDT to leave the factory. I then proceeded to purchase several other MXM cards of increasing ability and wattage. I finally settled on an AMD Firepro M4000 which is about 7 times the power while slightly less than twice the wattage. During testing it never got too hot and is now capable of playing some decent games as well as handling high end graphics editing and some video editing. Keep in mind that adding a discrete video card will require that a high wattage power supply replace the standard one. HP made 180 and 230 watt units that would work with the 8200 Elite USDT. I was lucky to find a 230 watt here on eBay.Read full review

This video card allows me to continue to use my HP Elitedesk 8200 Small Form Factor. Very easy to install. I only wish it came with the mounting screws.
