Works well but be prepared for surprises
Unless you like soldering and have all the tools, this can be challenging. It helps to have the solder suction tools to remove old solder. For starters, now I can see how much mold growth was inside the unit. I spent a good amount of time just scrubbing away the mold and rinsing parts. Wasn’t prepared to do this, but since I’m keeping my waterpik, it was good I went through this. I spent about 2 hours between cleaning and soldering, and reassembling. The inside wires were a little short so it’s necessary to be delicate. Also having a soldering heat sink helps prevent some wire insulation from melting from the heat of soldering iron. Works fine, but quite tricky replacement
I had not realised, when ordering this battery, that replacing the old battery would be so complicated. I had to use some instructions on Youtube, which were very helpful, though one or two things were not completely clear. In order to remove the old battery you have to almost completely disassemble the water flosser, removing about 8 screws and several components. The battery is soldered into position, so you have to unsolder it and then cut the wires to the correct length and solder the battery into position. I have a soldering iron, and was able to do all this. The new battery worked fine. If you are uncomfortable with using a soldering iron or connecting wires, it would be better to find someone to assist you. However, as I said, the new battery is working.I had not realised, when ordering this battery, that replacing the old battery would be so complicated. Should get another few years use out of my WaterPik
Brilliant. Has extended the life of my WaterPik flosser & back up to full power. Involves a bit of dexterity & soldering to fit but not too difficult.

Re energise dying Waterpik
It was successful but needs to be soldered so, unless you have nimble fingers and are good at fiddly soldering (two pairs of hands are useful to hold the wires in place) , just buy a new Waterpik.

Good if you have a dead battery but not like a new one.
I replaced my battery because the old one was getting weak. The new battery as good as the old one but definitely not like a new battery.
