It certainly is loud enough. It brings in some fm stations clearly but others in the same part of the band were weak. am reception poor. I had no use for the sw feature and did not use it. I think this maybe a reasonable choice for someone who lives in a metropolitan area but I am in a rural, somewhat remote area. Tuning was somewhat problematic as the fm band is at the topof the dal and I had to tip the radio to have a good view of it, but the position of the stations was not accurate anyway. I also noticed band creep once I did tune to a station I wanted. I have returned it and bought another brand which cost a little more but works better for my needs.It certainly is loud enough. I owned this very model back in 2017. Radio was neat because it had AM FM SW Aux input, lots of volume and decent sound. It also had a built in rechargeable block battery. You could use AC power with built in cord or even regular C batteries. Now the quirks. Radio got very warm charging built in block battery. You had to never charge while sleeping. Another quirk is after one month, radio started cutting in and out sound wise, by just placing a glass of water on the table where radio set. I found out why. Several wires in radio were coming loose from their connections. Wires were thinner than the thinnest spaghetti. I replaced them with decent wire, 4 wires, and radio worked perfect. (Don't attempt repair if not familiar with electronics.) After 3 months one LED bulb burnt out ... I owned this very model back in 2017. I find it OK, not Great
Radio arrived promptly and works generally well. Its small size makes the on/off/mode switch a little difficult to set. I find the tuner is the weakest feature as it is difficult to tune in some stations while others seem to be easily set. For the price, I am content with the purchase.
