this item is exactly what they say it is. Just because it is a guitar nut and has 4 notches for the strings for the bass guitar this is not a Bass nut it is only the required width. length way fine but the width is too narrow for an acoustic guitar Bass nut. Pretty sure even though I didn't compare it to the nut on my electric bass guitar. This nut wouldn't stand up to the requirements for real bass (thick) strings.
