Although it doesn't have quite the kick of a present day projector, it produces a great picture for backyard viewing. It automatically switches from 4:3 to 16:9 (although the widescreen is shrunk)so you can play DVDs or VHS tapes. Bulbs are still available and last about 4000 hours. The only drawback is that the color wheel is no longer made and they are said to begin to make noise after a while. I bought mine with 144 hours on the lamp and it is very quiet. For less that $500.00 I bought this projector and a 150" 4:3 screen for hanging outside.
I purchased my InFocus X1 for under $200.00 and am absolutely amazed at the performance. It runs quiet and provides a VERY bright and high quality output, even in a moderately lighted room. !000 ANSI lumens never looked so good. I have it set up for 96" display and it is awesome. I have yet to find anything that I dislike about the X1. If you get a chance to purchase one of these jewels you won't be disappointed. WOW factor is out of this world.
The projector is all that I want for the price. I like it because I retire from my job in December and tried to find a low cost projector that would provide a service for these months. If the person is looking for something of higher resolution, lighter and you want to have it for a long time, you must purchase a modern one. For now, and for people who want greater economy because they do not have much money to buy an expensive one, I recommend one like this, works good. Thank you
I bought a used projector so my review is a bit different than if you would purchase a brand new unit... The projector is pretty cool. But, it doesn't do much above the average. I have spent the last 2 days trying to figure out how to return the image to the upright position. (This projector was hanging from the ceiling before I purchased it so now that I have it on a table the image is upside down). This is not a very user-friendly model in my opinion.
Would prefer Black or Slate Grey, **Always know the resolution, size, and feet from wall/screen. Mostly easy to operate, without manual, except setup. I am new to projectors, but an IT PRO Nice overall
easy to use I have had one for years.
