    Difficult to fit but does the job!

    My 2004 C-Max has low mileage, good bodywork and a solid engine so when the flexi started blowing I just wanted to relate it. I quickly found out it has a maniverter- the manifold, catalytic converter and flexi are all welded together into a 1 piece part. You can pay hundreds for a new part or cut off the old flexi and replace it. If you choose to do that, this is the part you need. You need to angle grind the old pins out of the exhaust where the 2 flanges join, where the flexi meets the rest of the system, then grind the flange flat so new bolts and washers will sit flush. You will need to remove the manifold from the engine to cut off the old flexi. Not a job for the faint of heart. You need to remove the bonnet, scuttles, wipers and wiper motor and heat shield. Disconnect the 2 O2 ...
