We had a Decora duplex in place behind the kitchen range. The best that I could do at the time to blend it with the stainless steel background was a gray Decora outlet and a stainless steel cover. Not a great match but OK. This outlet gets used frequently and the problem with Decora is that one of the ground ports only has a very thin amount of plastic near the edge. As a result, this outlet cracked at an angle passing through the neutral port. I happened to spot an Adorne design and saw it as a perfect solution. I purchased the Magnesium color and paired it with a stainless steel Legrand cover. The installation had a slight learning curve in that the outlet relies upon a mechanical contact with the mounting plate to create the ground (the mounting plate has a riveted ground wire.... the outlet has no ground screw). Aside from that, the Adorne was simple to install and its smaller profile made it easier to press inside the electrical box. The Legrand cover simply snaps onto the mounting bracket. 95% of our house is Decora. I would swap them all of out with Adorne (at least the living space ones) in a heartbeat. I like to install "ground up" but my wife thinks that this is upside down. Adorne eliminates this argument. Read full review
