I was unable to boot my board with the ES chips (I knew this before buying it, and bought this BIOS before I got the board) initially as it hung on Cb on the POST LED, but worked after the BIOS flashback, exactly as expected. This mod of BIOS 6601is one of the most recent that will work, buying this can save you a lot of time poking around BIOS mod sites and attempting to code in CPU IDs.
