AU was at the end of the listing, which I assumed meant that the adaptor had an Audio socket for attachment of an audio cable. Some of these adaptors do have such a socket. On arrival, I was disappointed to find that there was no audio socket. After communicating with the seller, it appears that the AU meant that the item was in Australia, a rather odd way to indicate that! The adaptor does deliver the video signal from a HDMI output to a VGA input, as it should.
