    Remotely set it up from 2300 miles from a QR pic

    I already installed a Nest learning thermostat at my parents in Los Angeles, but the sensor I ordered at the same time off eBay was a scam so I was unable to integrate it before going back home on the East Coast. I have my Nest and there’s in my app, so I had a friend snap a pic of the QR code on the sensor and I scanned it in the App then had my friend stand next to their Nest and BAMMO! Done! Now my medically recovering father’s room is always perfect and everyone else doesn’t have to suffer in an oven any more. Should save a lot of money as well as the room with the Nest is not used so there were constant trips to adjust it to make inhabited rooms comfortable.

    Really nice. I wish nest never sold out to google. I’ve seen complaints from people about connection. I had to hold it next to the thermostat to connect and after it was fine whenever I put it. It says nest on it and not google or the G which is nice. A bit confusing to use on the app to me.

    Work Well

    This is exactly what I needed!

    My thermostat is behind my TV, which isn't good to begin with. When I watch TV, it really messes up everything with the heat the TV generates in that area. I bought the sensor to place in an area that will give me a better reading. I got another to place in my bedroom for nighttime readings. Working nicely! I don't bother going by the readings on my thermostat at all. You can select any or all of the 4 sections of the 24 hour day - morning, midday, evening and night. You can also change them on the fly, if needed.
