    Excellent biography

The biography of Helen is very powerful and gives an excellent insight into social change within a family and the everyday struggles faced by poverty and the need for self preservation . It is a very moving story and well written, clearly documenting how Helen is left to care for her siblings where every day is a struggle I .would certainly recommend reading this book
