Ejecting is simple and straightforward and you can almost instantly figure out when the image has properly ejected. I had trouble ejecting the dark slide of my photo, but that is because the provided batteries were not powerful enough (the seller recommends Li-Ion batteries). You can also gently remove the dark slide by hand in a room with no light.

The seller really nailed the focal plane with this mod resulting in perfectly focused instant photos-- as opposed to some other solutions I've tried where the focus is not quite right or you lose infinity focus. The item is pricey but it is really well done. Thanks!
