Good for checking diet sodas
I bought this to use to check that diet sodas bought at fountain drink centers such as fast food establishments really are sugar-free. Since I'm diabetic, getting a sugar-filled soda y mistake can be serious. Sometimes workers get the drink supply tubes mixed up and one can get a sugar drink instead of a diet drink as the dispenser says it is. An easy way to be sure of what you're getting and not risk a potentially dangerous high blood glucose level.I bought this to use to check that diet sodas bought at fountain drink centers such as fast food establishments really are sugar-free. Great for testing drive through soft drinks!
You’d be surprised how many times you get a full sugar soft drink even when you emphasize the word diet. Testing them has saved a day of screwed up blood sugars.

Diabetics can test their "diet" drinks for sugar
My wife is diabetic, and when a waitperson mistakenly delivers a sugared "real" drink, instead of a diet drink, her sugar levels go haywire, messing up her calculations. These test strips allow a drop of the drink to be tested for the presence of sugar, possibly preventing an unpleasant and unhealthy accident. We tested a "sugared" drink and a diet drink and got different color results.
