Two gay lovers, estranged from society, concoct a bizarre plot: the deliberate murder of an innocent. Not all goes to plan and ultimately the young men are arrested and tried for the killing. Based on the infamous Leopold and Loeb murder trial, "Swoon" presents these murderous lovers as victims -- like the small boy they slaughter, the two appear as sacrificial lambs. A Queer classic that has been acclaimed as one of the landmark films of the 90's. A chilling study on the consequence and cycle of hate that goes beyond this shocking true crime and takes us below the surface and into the minds of these two now legendary killers. Shot in gritty black & white, this true crime was also the influence for Hitchcock's masterpiece Rope.
