This was a great Christmas gift for my husband who is retired from Duke Energy. When he retired from Duke the company had changed the name from Duke Power Company to Duke Energy. The symbol Reddy Kilowatt was painted on all the Duke Power Trucks until sometime in the 1980’s. This is a nostalgic symbol that many employees of Duke Energy still enjoy the fond memories of the caricature.
