Hope I never need it but reassuring to have.
This item is very compact and light. It will be easy to carry in a pocket or using the included clip. The reassurance of having it in the vehicle or in my back pack when I go walking is a great comfort in the Great Australian Outdoors where unknown dangers lurk, or even simple accidents. I carried a previous model for 7 years till the battery reached its expiry date, never needed it but was glad to have it. COMPULSORY Registration was easy on the AMSA website. This unit has all the essential features but IT DOES NOT FLOAT on its own. It comes with a floatation pouch for water use but this can easily be removed if using on land only and the extra bulk is a problem. I have left it on as it does provide some extra physical protection to the unit if dropped or bumped. At the price it is an ... This item is very compact and light.
