Instructions show the obvious very clearly and the not so obvious not well at all, which is pretty dumb but typical too. A good mechanism though with plenty enough rope to spare also. It proved not so useful for my original purpose which was my kayak, for which a side shelf at roof-rack height is still the best solution. Very happy with it though, using it instead for my bike. Absolute top recommendation for bikes, much more out of the way and easy to use than bike hooks. Top item. Easy purchase

The description of this item is not correct Advertised as having a payload of 57 kg but actually can only carry 20kg. Dangerously over-rated quite appart from the false advertising (which the seller admits to)

I'm confident that this vendor advertised this product as "2pcs". I only got one. Why I would have bought a single when there are so many vendors selling them for $5.99 or 2 for $7.59. I study the eBay ads for the best prices. So, I smell a rat with this vendor. I wouldn't trust this vendor.
