Maybe- sorta, but I'm not sure.
It's hard to review this pedal really because it's hard to decide what you think of it. It's very subtle- and it does produce a good tone- but I can get 99% of that same tone without this pedal- just by overdriving my amp a bit. Or, by overdriving a preamp I have with a compressor- it would be very difficult to tell the two apart. If you're looking for an overdrive that gives you a distorted lead tone- this pedal, isn't it. This excels at that edge of breakup tone- where your amp is just on the verge of starting to produce some grit but- not really there yet. You can turn up the "Gain" knob and get some grit past 12 o'clock, but it's going to sound very wooly and thick. The "Gain" knob is a boost until you hit 12 o'clock, from 12 on, the pedal itself starts clipping as well and you get ... It's hard to review this pedal really because it's hard to decide what you think of it. Great pedal for a "hot" clean sound
Not sure if the pedal is really a "dumble-in-a-box" (never heard it), but it makes my Fender Dual Professional sound REALLY good. A lot of harmonics are now coming out of the amp.

Nice pedal in terms of shaping your clean tone.
This pedal serves as a good clean boost with some tone tweaking abilities. It gives a nice clean compression as well as a bit crunchy tone if the gain knob is cranked all the way up.
