Faster, bigger and no noticeable increase in noise or vibration at all. Win
Bought this to refresh my C2D MacBook Pro as I was getting tired of running out of space on the standard 120GB HDD. I did some research into replacement drives before hand, though not exhaustive I must admit. The only criticism leveled at this drive was the possibility of increased vibration due to it's faster spin speed over the existing drive but to be entirely honest I've not noticed any difference at all over the drive it replaced with regard to noise or vibration. It's usefully faster but more importantly it keeps my MBP relevant and useable with the fourfold increase in storage. Can't fault it, at all. About the fastest hard drive you can buy without the expense of SSD
This is a very fast performing hard drive, while not as fast as SSD disks the trade off is worth it for me as you get far more capacity. This is also significantly quicker than my old 5400 rpm dive.
