Limited heavyweight vinyl pressing remastered at legendary Abbey Road Studios using the Direct to Metal Mastering (DMM) audiophile copper plating process, all from original analogue masters. Rush's fourth album, 2112, first released in 1976, proved a breakthrough, highlighted by it's seven-part title suite - written by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, with lyrics by Neil Peart - recounting a dystopian story set in the year 2112. It came in at #2 on Rolling Stone's list of 'Your Favorite Prog Rock Albums of All Time.' Most Rush fans consider it the band's definitive recording and it has sold over 3 million albums in the U.S., going triple-platinum.

    What an incompetent review in the listing...

    This is the greatest album by rush ever. Period. 2112 changed the way I felt about what music could be. The power and delicacy presented in 2112 hit me like a ton of bricks. Many musicians will admit to learning how to play this song. It is that good! Side two has great songs as well. Songs which tell other stories you will love. Many people at the time of its release had derided the album as demonic for its pentagon on the cover. But if you will notice the man is resisting the pentagon. Just as our hero does in the song. In short 2112 is an iconic album and deserves your full attention.

    Required listening for all future RUSH fans!

    Great vinyl remaster. Retaining original feel & ambiance while digitally tweaking the compression to clean up the quality of the original tape. Seamless, transparent - like making the Mona Lisa smile with teeth! Highly recommend a long listen -then repeat... ALSO: Cool touch with the laser-etched star on the run out after side 2. Nice final touch!

    An OUTSTANDING album !!!!

    With out a doubt , Rush's break through album , and for good reason the instumentation is so creative and so tight , not to mention the story being told ( though a bit " etherial " ) is very cool They were WAY ahead of their time. I.M.O. , Rush are ( were 😢, One of if, not the Greatest , tightest , and exacting prog. group ever!!! RIP Neal.
