ITS REFRESHING TO HAVE SUPPORT AND AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT "ALL IS ONE" AND TRUTH IS WHAT ITS ABOUT, THAT THERE REALLY IS NO GOOD/BAD ONLY TRUTH WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE IS CLEARED AWAY. I BOUGHT THE BOOK FOR ITS KNOWLEDGE, TO REMIND ME WHAT I FORGOT, AND TO GET MORE UNDERSTANDING FOR THE TIME I AM IN THE MID-WEST, LEARNING VERY DIFFICULT GROWTH SPURTS. I GREW UP IN IOWA BUT SPENT MY ADULT YEARS UP TO 53 IN CALIFORNIA . UPON MY RETURN HERE I HAD NO IDEA HOW HARD IT WOULD REALLY BE. I CONTINUE TO DEAL WITH ALL THIS TO THIS DAY ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ANSWERS, WAYS TO HEAL AND GUIDANCE TO HELP MYSELF LOVE ME THE BEST I CAN, SO I CAN BE THE BEST PERSON I CAN BE, AND IN THIS WAY I FEEL I HELP THE UNIVERSE TO HEAL. ITS LIKE MICHEAL JACKSON'S SONG "THE MAN IN THE MIRROR". ITS VERY HARD TO HOLD MYSELF ESTEEM ABOVE WATER HERE, AS, I FIND MYSELF STANDING ALONE, BEING ACCUSED OF THINGS I AM NOT ABOUT, AND BEING TREATED VERY DISRESPECTFULLY, WITH MY DIGNITY AND INTEGRITY BEING ATTACKED DAILY. I HAVE VERY LITTLE FAMILY SUPPORT, EXCEPT BY MOM, DOES HER BEST , SHE IS 90 AND INCREDIBLE. THEN I HAVE 3 SISTERS WHOM ARE STEP FAMILY BUT CLOSER THAN MY OWN AND MORE LIKE WHAT A FAMILY IS, AND MY FRIEND SHARON. THANK THE HEAVENS FOR MY FAR AWAY FRIENDS WHOM ARE MY FAMILY FOR MANY YEARS NOW. SO I BOUGHT THE BOOK FOR ALL THESE REASONS, AND AM LOOKING FOR NEW STRENGTH DAILY AS THERE HAS BEEN TIMES I REALLY FEEL LIKE TAKING MY JOURNEY, BUT DON'T AS I DO NOT WANT TO REPEAT THIS LIFE, AND I REALLY WANT TO GET IT....AND WALK IN THE LIGHT SEEING ALL AS LESSONS, LEADING TO THE NEXT LESSON , AND FEELING LIKE I DID WHEN I LIVED IN CA. WITH SUPPORT TO BE WHO I TRULY AM........ME.

Heavy reading...but worth it.
you definitely have to be in the mood to read this book, without interruption. the reading is heavy, and many paragraphs have to be read more than once to grasp what tolle is saying. BUT...i had several "AHA" moments when reading the book. i was recently in a near-tragic auto accident 5 months ago. luckily my husband and our twins made it out ok. i on the other hand BROKE MY BACK. i've had 2 surgeries already and the road has been long and painful. this book is just what i needed. even before reading the book, i had a totaly NEW OUTLOOK ON LIFE since surviving the accident. the doctors told me i should've been paralyzed (or killed) on impact from the injury i suffered (burst fracture)...apparently, i beat the odds. so i am definitely a more positive person now ... you definitely have to be in the mood to read this book, without interruption. the reading is heavy, and many paragraphs have to be read more than once to grasp what tolle is saying. A Great Study Tool for those who wish to be enlightened
I have been looking for answers and explanations for decades. This book is a combination of things I have learned from, Wayne Dyer, Neale Donald Walsh, John Gray, Gandhi, and the endless list of enlightened authors I have read over the years. I do not believe everything I read, hear, or that I was taught as a child. I have learned to listen to many opinions and ideas, take what I want, and leave the rest. After struggling for many years and praying for answers, Eckhart Tolle shed some light on who/what I we really am. I always knew I was not, just, my human body. I have had experiences in my life that most would not believe. After reading A New Earth, I have a better understanding of why I am here, what I am seeking, and how to continue. This book is not for everyone, as you can tell by ... I have been looking for answers and explanations for decades. A New Earth
This book made me think, that I liked. The fact that it is not new information but a blend of Christian principles, Eastern religions & New Age doctrines was informative but not life-altering. Tolle begins with flawed information, (Darwin's brand of evolution), and moves into some very vague and gray areas with not much in the way of explanation. One of the statements Tolle writes has been tossed around regularly as though it came from some other-worldly source. "Evolve or Die" sounds extra-ordinary but if reality is your bag - and it is mine - facts are, evolve or not, we're all going to die, the enlightened and the ignorant alike. 'Tis the fate of man. Read it, take the good and leave the bad. Use the ability to discern God gave us all. There is something to ... This book made me think, that I liked.
