  • Forgiving the Dead Man Walking

I bought this book after listening to a radio interview with Debbie Morris. Her story impressed me and I wanted to know more. This is a great book for anyone who might be going through a difficult time forgiving someone who has wronged them. The forgiveness that Debbie found for the man who raped her was supernatural, but not instantaneous. I would like to have had an update on her former boyfriend who was also a part of the crime, but the book is not about his journey, but hers.

  • What a story.

Great read. Honest, compelling. I give these away to people in tough situations.

  • All-around book for any reader

Our small hometown library is very small. I completed reading almost all the true crime books ... except this one. When at last I was forced to check out, Forgiving Dead Man Walking, I wasn't sure I'd even start to read it. Since first reading this book, I have purchased seven copies to give to friends and family. The book is a poignant look at tragedy and the saving grace of faith. Why I have handed out so many copies? My cousin was shot and killed and his family couldn't find closure. My brother forgot we cannot judge people. A couple of friends questioned faith. Anyone who has seen the movie, "Dead Man Walking," will also find this book, interesting. In the movie we felt such compassion for the convicted, that the victims were almost erased from our minds. This book takes a look ...

  • Faith in All Circumstance

I typically stick to stories of missionaries and heroes of the faith when I read true stories. I brought this book to churchcamp with me as a book I could read and not have to do much thinking on vacation. It actually had the exact opposiet affect. I found I could not put it down until I was finished, and I could not stop thinking about it when I was done. It is easy to have faith when faith is not required. This book challenged me to apply my faith in circumstances that seem to merit allowing ourselves to doubt. I recommend this book to all readers who are serioius about walking out a deeper level of faith in action.

  • Grace and Mery

She help to understand that Grace and Mercy is what we need to forgive not that they desirive it or not. It is to help us form healing. To seek God in our life.
