      Turning a Data Center 45 HDD SAS Expander into a Home Direct Attached Storage (DAS) works well!

      With the addition of 1x SAS PCEi Card & 2x SFF8088 cables in a spare PC that I had, I have turned this storage array into a home-based Direct Attached Storage (DAS) appliance for my personnel network. Compared to other "preconfigured" DAS systems, this is is an awesome value. In effect same cost for a 45 HDDs DAS vs. a traditional home 8-drive DAS unit.
