    Good but not great

    I understand that unbiased scripture translation is very difficult so I don’t mean to be critical or mean-spirited. Being a translation from Aramaic, this work provides nuances and insights from the source language itself that open the mind and heart to new understanding of God’s love. However, the translator’s own theological bias bleeds into his notes and therefore “lead the witness” to his own theological interpretation and beliefs. Granted, if you’re aware of this tendency, you can discover new vistas of God’s love and immeasurable goodness.
