I really enjoy the instrumental part of the music Alan Parsons plays in this album but it is entwined with the most negative, paranoid and twisted lyrics one can find set to this type music. I bought this album because of the instrumentals and don't listen much to whats being said.In that it is good background music for when i'm working on something around the house,etc.. Serious listening is not good for ones spirit. This applies to all his albums, and i'm glad (I think)he didn't have more influence on the production of Pink Floyds Dark Side Of The Moon.It is dark enough as it is and any more Alan would have ruined it,or embued it with worse psychic driving...perhaps he is so good he knew just when to stop at perfection.
Great follow up to their 76 debut album, " Tales of mystery and imagination." Incredible talent and musicianship as well as great composition, production & engineering. The concept and message of this work is more relevant today than ever. If you like Parsons, you won't be disappointed.

One of my all-time favorites, easily one of the best progressive rock albums of all time. The first 5 songs are brillant, catchy, emotional and sensational--impossible not to like. I remember the days of head phones and listening to this album, lava lights, etc. Brilliantly concieve by one of rocks great musical forces (see Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt pepper), Parsons is never better solo then this amazing album. Buy it, listen to it--enjoy it
Excellent condition great price and great music - the music was ahead of its time.
